It is a specialized machining center designed for the complete machining of aluminum castings in a single setup, featuring a four-station loading system where workpieces are machined simultaneously by four spindles.

The machine combines three linear axes (X, Y, Z) with a continuously rotating C-axis mounted on hydrostatic bearings and is prepared for the addition of a fifth axis. It is controlled by a SIEMENS SINUMERIK ONE system with a Simatic S7-1500 PLC, while the positions of all four axes are monitored by HEIDENHAIN direct absolute linear encoders. The package includes a 2-axis NC loader for automatic workpiece loading and unloading, a KNOLL filtration/pump unit and chip conveyor, and a Lahntechnik spindle cooling unit.

The machine is currently in operation and in very good technical condition; it has undergone regular maintenance by both the operator and the manufacturer’s service team and operates within the manufacturer’s specified production tolerances. Detailed technical specifications are available.
